Four Mile Cove Cape Coral Neighborhood Guide

Four Mile Cove. Honest local intelligence from three generations of Southwest Florida experience.

Four Mile Cove is the SE Cape Coral pocket around Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, mangrove trails, kayak launches, and the river edge. It is not a synonym for all of SE Cape, and it was a 404. If you searched this name, you want that preserve-edge geography, not a random SE canal a mile inland.

SE Cape is the original city: closer to the Cape Coral Bridge, more tidal and direct gulf-access canals citywide, older housing stock mixed with renovated homes. Four Mile Cove sits on the preserve side of that story. A lot backing to mangroves is not the same as a seawall lot on a sailboat canal. We check which one you actually opened.

Flood zone on river-adjacent SE parcels is usually a real insurance line. Get the zone and a quote before the preserve view does the selling.

The Honest Picture

What works, what doesn't.

What we love

  • Preserve and kayak-trail geography
  • SE Cape / river context
  • Named pocket, not a generic SE dump

What to weigh

  • Not every SE listing is Four Mile Cove
  • Flood and insurance still lead on river-adjacent lots
  • Preserve frontage is not a dock
